Persistent Links / Permalinks: Creating Stable Links to Electronic Resources

where to locate persistent links with most databases

All EBSCOhost Databases, including the QuickSearch interface, features several options to share the content you find. Sharing options include the ability to share records to Google Drive, copy a link to the record, or email the record from the Share window.

Please note: EBSCO databases and QuickSearch no longer require adding the proxy prefix to the link for off-campus access. Simply use the link produced by following the steps below.

To share an article or eBook from EDS:

  1. Navigate to an article, eBook, etc. in EDS that you would like to share.

2. On the detailed record, click the Share icon to open the available sharing options.

       3. On the Share window, select one of the sharing options (Google Drive, Google Classroom, OneDrive) or click Create Link to generate a direct link to the item.

     4.  Click the Copy to clipboard button and paste the link into an online course,  email, document, etc. to share it.

     5.  You may also email a link to the item by clicking the Email tab and adding an email address (or addresses).
