BOOKS Citation Format

Basic Format:

Author, A.A. Year of publication. Title of work: Capital letter also for subtitle. Location: Publisher.

NOTE: For "Location," you should always list the city, but you should also include the state if the city is unfamiliar or if the city could be confused with one in another state.

One Author:

Freeman, S.  2005.  Biological Science (2nd Ed).  Upper Saddle River, NJ. Pearson Prentice Hall.

Two Authors:

Castro, P. and M.E. Huber. 2005.  Marine Biology (5th Ed.). New Jersey. McGraw-Hill.

Three or more authors:

Internet Resources Citation Style

The variety of material available electronically, and the variety of ways in which it is structured and presented, can  present challenges for creating usable and useful references. At a minimum, a reference of an electronic source should provide a document title or description, a date, and an address: DOI, URL, etc.
