Research 911: Searching in an eBook
Looking for information in a book, but you don’t have time to page through the entire thing?
Our eBook collections make it easy to quickly search for keywords in a book, saving you time and getting you to content that is most helpful for your research project.
When you’ve located an eBook in the catalog or through QuickSearch that looks like it might be of interest, access the full text of the work, usually symbolized by a “PDF Full Text” link.

In the full-text view, select the “Search within” tab on the left-column menu.

From here you can search for keywords present in the text using the search box.

If the word is present in the text, it will display the sections and number of times the term occurs in the sections. You can then access the individual pages to view the relevant content.
