Contacting the Reference Desk

For: General research questions, database help, immediate assistance, technical issues

How to access:

  • In-person: Visit the Reference Desk on the 1st floor of the library

  • Online: Click the "Get Help" button on the library homepage (below QuickSearch) to access the Ask a Librarian page

Contact options available:

  • Email - Best for non-urgent or detailed questions

  • Text - Quick questions on the go

  • Phone - Speak directly with a librarian

  • Live Chat - Real-time assistance with a librarian (not a chatbot)

Contacting Your Subject Librarians

For: Specialized research help, in-depth consultations, subject-specific guidance

Subject librarians provide personalized assistance in specific disciplines and can help with:

  • Developing advanced search strategies

  • Finding specialized databases and resources

  • Citation guidance for major projects

  • Research planning and organization

On the Ask a Librarian page, scroll down to view all individual subject librarian profiles.

Each profile includes:

  • Subject specialties (Business, Education, Health Sciences, etc.)

  • Contact information (email and phone)

  • "Schedule a Consultation" button for booking appointments

 

Meeting options: Consultations are available in-person or via Zoom.
