New York Times

With SHU Library's license to the New York Times, students and faculty now have full access to the NYTimes.com and NYT mobile apps on any web browser, and via mobile apps, from any location on or off campus. 

Getting Started

Create an Account - register for your free New York Times subscription

Important Notice: You must use your SHU email address to register, after you have registered keep your password. This is a separate account from your SHU username and password.

Returning Users

NYTimes.com - Returning users  that have activated their pass can go directly to NYT.com

New York Times FAQs

You must call 1-800-NYTIMES (1-800-698-4637) and ask that your current subscription be canceled before you will be able to activate your account under the SHU Library's subscription. You cannot get a refund for an existing paid account, but you can cancel your account and not pay beyond any time period already paid for.
The password you created when registering for an account with the NY Times is not linked to your SHU password. Your username is your SHU email (lastnamef@mail.sacredheart.edu). To reset your password click on the Forgot your password? link on the account login page
Your browser cache or history may have been cleared. You will need to log back in with your SHU email and the password you created when registering with the NY Times
Access does not include e-reader editions, Premium Crosswords, Times Insider or The New York Times Crosswords apps. NYTimes apps are not supported on all devices.
