A Resource You Should Know About: Zotero and Zoterobib

 

As a graduate student, you must manage the bibliography of your field, and it can be immense.  You don’t have to read everything with equal attention, but you have to know where to find the knowledge you need in the work other scholars have laid down.  Keeping it all organized is essential.

Zotero is a citation management tool –it helps you to keep track or your reading, both what you have done and what you should do.  It runs through your web browser and MS Word add-on so that you can format and retain citations and bibliographic details more readily than keeping track of them by hand.  You can also store your bibliographies and documents online so that you can gain access to them from any networked computer.
