Sacred Heart University's School of Social Work and the Ph.D. in Social Work program presents this day-long event designed to inspire change within institutions of higher education, community-based organizations and agencies and our communities. Our past two symposiums saw success beyond measure.
This year, we feature the antiracism work of our Ph.D. candidates with additional sessions from our undergraduate and graduate students. Attend presentations by faculty representing multiple institutions of higher education, policy experts from nationally recognized charitable organizations, community-based practitioners and advocates, mental health experts, social workers, an award-winning actor and playwright and a formerly incarcerated advocate for criminal justice reform.
Our local and virtual participants have represented more than 55 institutions of higher education and over 160 community agencies, governmental organizations, school districts, hospitals, police departments, advocacy groups and individuals.
