Microfilm machine 3000DSV

How to use Microfilm machine 3000DSV (located on the lower level of library)

For Printing:

  1. Turn on Micro film machine
  2. Put microfilm on
  3. Focus:
    1. If you want to see next pages, push the button ►
    2. If you  want to see the previous pages , push the button ◄
    3. If you want to see the left page, push the handle bar
    4. If you want to see the right page, pull the handle bar
  4. If you want to print from the built-in printer, press START button. Please keep in  mind, the mode should be set as 1 (Push both 1 and C/▼ to change the mode)

For Connecting to the computer

  1. Turn on Microfilm machine.
  2. Turn on Computer.
  3. Be sure Microfilm machine mode set as Pc (Push both 1 and C/▼ to change the mode)
  4. Put on microfilm
  5. Focus:
    1. If you want to see next pages, push the button ►
    2. If you  want to see the previous pages , push the button ◄
    3. If you want to see the left page, push the handle bar
    4. If you want to see the right page, pull the handle bar
  6. Click on Imaging Professional
  7. Click scan new button (1st icon in second row )

There is an interface window pop up, you could select the following mode:

Scan mode: (single/ dual)

Resolution (DPI): 300- 800

Paper size:

Image Type: black/white

Film Type: automatic/ negative /positive

Image Adjustment

  1. Scan (you will get .TIFF file)

Notes:  If scan mode set as dual, you could choose scan left/scan right/ scan all

             If you want to scan more pages, check Batch Scan Mode on the top

ScanPro 2000 Scanner (located on the first floor in the Patent & Trademark room)

Users can locate documents on the microfilm and save to a USB flash drive. Ask a reference librarian for assistance to use this scanner. Use the manufacturer quick start guide below to get started. Some features in the guide may not be available
