Course Objectives

Upon completion of this course students will be able to:

  1. Use indicators of authority and reliability to determine the credibility of sources.
  2. Determine the appropriate scope of investigation and use relevant search strategies and tools.
  3. Find materials and sources using a variety of search tools and strategies.
  4. Request resources not owned or licensed by Sacred Heart University Library through Interlibrary Loan (ILL).
  5. Give credit to the original ideas of others through proper attribution and citation.
  6. Effectively use citation management tools to organize their research and citations.
