Juvenile Book Award Winners

A brief introduction to Juvenile book awards that we acquire for our collection.

Brief history

The Caldecott Medal was established in 1937 to be given to an illustrator of children's picture books.  The artist does not have to be the author, but must be an citizen or resident of the United States.  The American Library Association presents the award annually.

This is a complete list of winners from 1938 to present.  You can download the PDF list or document.  Check our catalog to determine if SHU Library owns any of these books.
