Arts and Humanities - Patrick Gavin, MA, MLIS
Biography
As the Research Librarian for the Humanities, Patrick Gavin works to support the faculty, students, and staff in all of their arts-and-humanities-related research needs. Prior to pursuing a career in librarianship, Patrick completed a Master of Arts in Medieval Studies at the Medieval Institute at Western Michigan University. His interests in preservation, the material culture, collective memory, and orality/literacy led him to the University of Pittsburgh to pursue a career in libraries. Since then, Patrick has added Library/Web 2.0 and information literacy, amongst other library-related topics, to his long list of interests.
