STAFF AT THE RYAN-MATURA LIBRARY

a

Librarians and library staff perform a wide variety of tasks each day to ensure that the university community can make full use of our resources. Just some examples of the services provided by the staff of the Ryan-Matura library include:

  • Our Circulation Department ensures that books efficiently find their way back to the shelves after users borrow them
  • Our Reference Librarians are available to assist with a wide variety of research questions
  • Subject specialists are available for individual consultation and bibliographic instruction
  • Our Technical Services Department ensures that materials are properly processed and cataloged
  • Our Information Literacy program provides students with the research skills necessary for success in scholarly endeavors
  • Our website facilitates access to the catalog and our research databases, ensuring that users can access information without physically being at the library

What ties all of this together is a common and earnest desire to provide our users with the best service possible.  If you need help, a good place to start is to come to the Reference Desk or check out the website’s Reference Help page.  In all of this the observations of our users provide a valuable resource for improving our services.

Need help choosing or using databases, or finding information on your topic?  Come to the Reference Desk in the Library, or call us at 371-7726, and a librarian will be happy to help you.
